Course Overview

The Deep Roots programme has been carefully designed and structured to introduce teenagers to the core beliefs, practices, and the spiritual dimensions of Islam. Students begin by exploring the purpose of learning alongside what it truly means to have Īmān, building a strong foundation in belief in Allah, His Esteemed Prophet ﷺ, His Names and Attributes, angels, revelation, and the afterlife. Students will also explore not just how to worship, but why it matters—deepening their understanding of Salah, Siyam, Zakat, and Hajj. In addition to this, the ‘Lives of the Elite’ module will train and mentor students into being able to reflect upon and actualise lessons from the lives of key inspiring figures in Islamic history. The course aims to nurture confident and reflective young Muslims who are grounded in their faith and ready to grow.

  • To initiate young people into the Way of Prophecy
  • To impart the core teachings of Islamic beliefs, practice and spirituality
in a reliable, relatable and relevant way
  • To empower young Muslims to navigate spiritual, emotional and
    intellectual challenges through Prophetic guidance
  • To connect young Muslims with experienced mentors and guides.
  • To nurture a strong sense of identity, deepen their connection to Islamic tradition, and foster a genuine feeling of belonging within the Muslim community.

This programme is primarily aimed at young people aged 13-16 who have completed their Madrasah/Maktab/Masjid schooling,
Please note, this programme does not include formal instruction in Qur’an reading, Tajwīd and Qur’an memorisation.
